Victoria Gill has been writing features and fiction since the age of 13: her first short story was published three years later. After graduating from Goldsmiths University she entered the whirlwind world of magazines and alighted on the merry-go-round of parties, snipes and short form reviews for London society mags and guides. Evolving into investigative, reportage and first person features, she broke stories on subcultures and sociocultural phenomena in broadsheet weekend supplements and global glossies, alongside authoring travel guides and penning for coffee table books.
After enjoying the role of Editor-in-Chief of the biannual luxury bible Luxos for a decade, she explored Machu Picchu, the sub Antarctic and Amazon jungle for Lonely Planet. In between, Victoria has appeared as a talking head and presenter on TV, written immersive features for everyone from GQ to Glamour, the Sunday Times Magazine to Style, Financial Times Magazine and Harpers Bazaar and authored and edited travel books and features on everywhere from her birthplace of London to outer space.
